L3 Commercial Training Solutions’ (L3 CTS) Airline Academy held its largest-ever annual pilot graduation ceremony on Thursday, December 7, 2017. A total of 355 graduate pilots were invited to celebrate the successful completion of their training programs joined by family, friends and senior industry figures.
The pilots and guests attended a daytime graduation ceremony hosted by Robin Glover-Faure, Acting President of L3 CTS, and Captain David Morgan, Head of Flight Operations at easyJet, followed by an evening celebration.
The L3 Airline Academy’s dedicated Graduate Placement team facilitates unrivalled placement opportunities for its graduates with L3 CTS’s leading international airline customers. A high proportion of this year’s graduates have already been selected for positions across 14 global airlines, including British Airways, Qatar Airways, Royal Brunei Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Wizz Air, Oman Air and easyJet.
“We are proud to be able to celebrate our largest number of pilots graduating this year and, as always, have been very impressed by the high standard of results they achieved. This is not only a testament to the quality of the training, but also the high calibre of cadets that choose to train with us,” said L3’s Robin Glover-Faure at the graduation ceremony. “We wish our graduates the best of luck as they embark on their exciting flying careers. Airlines seeking to recruit from the finest new talent in the industry need look no further.”
Captain David Morgan of easyJet and speaker at the ceremony congratulated the graduates. As a major L3 Airline Academy recruiter placing the pilots across easyJet’s European bases, he highlighted the quality and scale of talent emerging this year.
Speaking at the event, Captain Morgan said, “This is an exciting day for commercial aviation as we formally welcome a huge number of incredibly talented new pilots into the industry. Congratulations to all of the graduates, who have shown a great level of determination, dedication and skill to get here. It is an absolute pleasure to be able to recognise all of their hard work today.”
